Forests are a vital global resource on which human population depend for wood, air quality, recreation and they play a crucial role in regulating the global climate too.
Currently, forest ecosystems are facing many sustainability problems due to drastic climate changes. Unfortunately, forests have a limited capacity of adaptation and it means that forest ecosystems and therefore forest biodiversity are seriously in danger. Thus, the problem of forest regeneration materials is becoming even more important. At the moment, we can find several systems of plant growth chambers able to produce forest materials more rapidly.
However, specific chamber for pre- cultivation of forest material do not exist on the market.
These pre- cultivation chambers would be more suitable for high-density and large- scale production of forest materials. For this reason, Regen- Forest projects aims to develop, construct and therefore introduce a new wide spectrum LED-based technology on the market, able to promote a sustainable production of forest materials in a more cost efficient and environmental- friendly way.In fact, this innovative technology will allow the development of chambers of pre- cultivation not affected by outdoor climate.
